I especially want to commend the practical step of preparing beforehand and the exercise of putting oneself in your child&#039;s shoes. Parents might overlook the stage of development their child is in at the time of an impending divorce and how their child&#039;s degree of understanding and perspective can be influenced by this. In my experience, even years later a child will tend to hold onto to the settings that were put in place at the time of the divorce based on their age and level of understanding back then.]]></description>
