About Parental Wisdom
About Parental Wisdom
Parents have the most important job in the world, shaping the minds and hearts of our children. Ironically, the most important job in the world is also the one we are least prepared for. So we turn to experts, assuming they have the answers. But if we really believe each child, and each situation is unique, how can we be certain that a single expert answer is right for you?

Parental Wisdom is in the parent education business. We have created a vehicle that offers parents the tools not just to become a better parent, but to become the expert in knowing their own children best. Knowledge is power – but the key is matching the right knowledge to the right child. In reality, the power comes in when you act on that knowledge.

There is certainly no shortage of information, with millions of web pages and many thousand books on parenting. Since lack of time is the common thread for all parents, the availability of all those resources can be overwhelming. Parents have questions and need answers. Note the operative word is answers, and with Parental Wisdom they get to choose which answer will work best for their unique child and situation.

Parental Wisdom is a proprietary database comprised of questions and answers reflecting multiple opinions from a pool of professional and sometimes practical advisors. The multiplicity of opinions approach is an intellectual property protected by U.S. Patents.

How Parental Wisdom Got Started
The Nocera FamilyThe Parental Wisdom concept was born from a mom’s frustration of not finding answers to parenting questions. As a working mother, Tina Nocera began to investigate options and noticed that although overwhelmed with information, nothing provided answers that gave parents a choice. It was like trying to take a drink of water from a fire hose; you could drown and still be left thirsty. Let’s face it – everyone has an opinion, but it is unlikely a parent will agree with a single source each time they have a question or face a dilemma. Not only that, but once a question is asked, parents often find themselves obliged to follow that advice, and even provide an update.

While past generations relied on extended family support systems for parenting help, today’s mobile families deal with increased societal issues, cultural diversity and battle powerful media and marketing influences. The questions and challenges are more complex, so a single answer from a single expert may not work for all parents.

After all, if a one-size-fit-all solution couldn’t work for pantyhose, why would it work for parenting? Parental Wisdom is addressing this need by proving a vehicle for questions, responding with multiple answers from trusted advisors, so parents who are the real experts in knowing their own children best, can decide which response is the most appropriate for their unique child and situation.

Believing passionately that this concept would appeal to all parents, Mrs. Nocera built the Parental Wisdom model, and was awarded U.S. Patents 6,193,518 & 6,482,012.
